With a combination of experience, both in legal and business fields, Sarah has a broad range of knowledge in reviewing legal matters, business operation and administration. Sarah has a background in intellectual property law, with a particular focus on copyright litigation, and the protection and enforcement of trade marks and designs.
Sarah currently undertakes executive administrative services in support of the Resolution Pathways alternative dispute resolution system. Resolution Pathways provides an independent alternative dispute resolution system to APRA AMCOS music creators and licensees. Sarah has been a part of the Resolution Pathways team since 2014, initially as a member of the Resolution Pathways consultative committee, and then moving to her current role in early 2018. During her time as a lawyer, Sarah was also involved in advisory work regarding music licensing requirements for retail and other customer service industries.
Sarah also has extensive experience in legal research, document drafting and review and has offered contract services since ceasing work as a solicitor in 2012. Sarah has undertaken research across many legal specialities including world trade, criminal law, IP and all facets of commercial law.
With a life long love of the rag trade, Sarah has extensive business administration experience in the fashion and retail sectors, including fashion retail management, training and development for retail sales employees, marketing and brand development, styling, visual merchandising, and on-shore garment production processes. Sarah was the Business Manager for iconic Melbourne label SA DOT NA for 6 years. As a lawyer at Middletons (now K&L Gates), the majority of Sarah’s work centered on legal and commercial issues impacting the local and Global fashion industries.
